Who are we?

Mango Street Trio is a fresh, new act that officially started in October 2024. The group met at the Berklee affiliated music school Holland College, and served as the house band for the most important Latin restaurant in PEI for half a year. We gained substantial live experience and quickly developed a unique voice blending our front man's Latin American roots and our love for jazz, blues, and hip-hop. Despite the brevity of the project, the Mango Street Trio is an esteemed performer at the island's most popular jazz concert series, "Island Jazz," and has performed for popular audiences at events like the City of Charlottetown’s Canada Day celebration.

We’ve also been booked for performances all throughout the maritime region, including Truro, Halifax, Saint John and Fredericton, and are set to make our Ontario debut at NXNE 2026 in Toronto. To give Mango’s live performances an extra boost of energy and versatility, we collaborate with C.Ruth, a Nigerian MC who previously fronted the Umbrella Collective, delivering an exciting, sophisticated show with a very unique sound and stage presence. The Mango Street is currently nominated for three 2026 Music PEI Awards (Entertainer Of The Year, Behind the Music Award, and RnB/Jazz recording of the year).
